Reach out - each day is a gift

Reach out to people.

I had not intended to do a post today, but today my heart is heavy. I am still in shock having heard yesterday, that an old friend/colleague had died. I do not know the circumstances and I do not want to speculate. But what I do know is that each day is a gift, it is not a given.

You may know somebody, or of somebody, who has died unexpectedly, from Covid, or another health condition, or those who found life too painful to continue.

Each day is a gift

This post isn’t about me, it’s about the reminder that each day is a gift, It is a reminder to:
  • reach out, and not put off those conversations we want or need to have.

  • check in on people we have not seen recently.

  • check in on people we have not been in touch with for a long-time.

  • reach out to those who have lost loved one

  • reach out to those who care for people who have died, such as the healthcare providers.
They may just be awaiting your call. Yes, people can call you, it can be 2-way, but if it is within our power to do so. Let us reach out irrespective of whose turn we think it is to call.
"Let us seek to ask the question, ‘How are you really?’"
